Jared DiPalma has been named chief financial officer of Dow Jones, effective Jan. 8.  

“Jared will oversee our global finance team and all finance functions for Dow Jones – a vital role as we continue our transformation as the world’s leading business news and information services company,” wrote CEO Almar Latour, CEO of Dow Jones, in a memo to staff.

Previously, DiPalma had been chief financial officer of NBCUniversal News Group since 2013. DiPalma has also served as CFO of NBCU’s entertainment and digital division, including cable networks Bravo & Oxygen, Telemundo Media and Fandango. 

“Jared is a veteran finance executive with a track record of helping news organizations achieve strong financial performance,” Latour continues.
