Julia Turner Leaves Post As SVP Of Content Business Strategy At 'Los Angeles Times'

Julia Turner has stepped down from her post as senior vice president for content business strategy at the Los Angeles Times.

Turner announced her departure in a post on X, according to TheWrap.

She said she plans to “take some time to explore how we can develop sustainable business models for news in the digital age,” TheWrap reports.

The Times had announced the layoffs of roughly 115 employees.

Turner was one of two editors who were to be in charge of editorial following the January resignation of two managing editors, Shani Hilton and Sara Yasin.

Hilton and Yasin were helping to run the paper after the departure of Kevin Merida as executive editor earlier in the month.
