Jim Falzone has been named publisher of North of Boston Media Group, reports The Haverhill Gazette, a weekly belonging to the company. 

In addition to several weeklies, the group's dailies include The Eagle-Tribune, Salem News, Daily News of Newburyport and Gloucester Daily Times.   

Prior to this, Falzone was general manager for the newspapers that comprise the group in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. 

Falzone also serves as vice president of production for the parent company, CNHI, LLC, and is president of the Northeast Association of Communication Executives.

“I’m fortunate to know and appreciate the talented staff at these locations, and together we will continue to print and deliver the essential news, advertising, and information that our readers depend upon,” Falzone says.

Earlier in his career, Falzone served as operations director for Gannett’s Ithaca Journal and as head of ad design and prepress operations for the Gannett Press & Sun Bulletin in Binghamton, New York.
