Emma Brown Named Deputy Editor of Washington Post's Rapid-Response Investigations Team

The Washington Post has named Emma Brown as deputy editor of its rapid-response investigations team, following a three-month stint in that role on an interim basis.

Having joined the rapid-response team as a reporter in 2017, Brown broke the story of Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court candidate Brett Kavanaugh. She has also has scored other scoops and led a team of reporters to create a narrative on Ted Leonsis's decision to move the Washington Wizards and the Capitals to Northern Virginia.

Brown has “distinguished herself as a thoughtful leader with incisive judgment and a steady hand,” the Post says.
