Annah Aschbrenner Named Senior Deputy Campaign Editor By 'The Washington Post'

Annah Aschbrenner, the Congress editor at TheWashington Post, has taken on a new assignment as the senior deputy campaign editor on the national politics desk.

Aschbrenner will work with campaign editor Sean Sullivan, to whom she will report, and deputy campaign editor Brianna Tucker, to cover the 2024 campaign in varied story forms across the Post’s platforms. 

Prior to joining the Post in 2022, Aschbrenner worked at USA Today, covering the 2020 election and helping to run coverage of both Donald Trump impeachments, the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol and the special counsel’s Russia investigation.  

Aschbrenner has also served at the Register.
