Summer camp isn’t something for the privileged few; all kids can benefit from the fun and friendship formed during a break from their day-to-day lives, especially when they can learn important life skills in the process.
One coffee chain is trying to even the playing field. Tim Hortons is bringing back its annual Camp Day fundraiser July 17.
On that day Tim Hortons, will donate 100% of all hot and iced coffee purchases to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, which help underserved youth across the U.S. and Canada.
The company lauds its "guests [that] have rallied with us every Camp Day to empower youth who deserve our support," says Katerina Glyptis, regional president for Tim Hortons U.S. in a release.
In addition to ordering their usual cup of joe. customers can also purchase a Camp Day bracelet for $3 or a donation badge for $2, with 100% of those profits also donated to the foundation. A one-time donation can also be made at https://timscamps.com.

U.S. Tim Hortons restaurants raised more than $900k for the cause in 2023, and collectively the chain, franchisees and customers have raised over $180 million through the promotion since 1991. More than 320,000 youth benefited from the foundation's programs, known as Tims Camps. In addition to water activities, archery ranges, and sport courts, the programs offer experiential learning to youth from low-income households between the ages of 12 and 16. The multiyear programs extend beyond summer to school and community partnership experiences as well.
Potential campers can apply at timscamps.com. The candidates can be referred by a school, community-based organization or Tim Hortons restaurant owner.
