Trump, Harris And Swift Dominated Publisher Traffic On Tuesday

The three most read-about topics for publishers on Tuesday night were Trump, Harris and Taylor Swift, according to a report by Taboola. Following were Hurricane Francine and football.  

Swift announced her support for Harris after the presidential debate. 

Publishing traffic fell by 11% when the debate began, but publishers saw up to 18% during the two commercial breaks. Traffic during the second break jumped 28% and by 32% after the debate versus the baseline of traffic seven days ago. 

Meanwhile, the five most-read-about political issues over the past 90 days were:

  • Abortion—19 million pageviews
  • Economy—8 million pageviews
  • Climate change—4 million pageviews 
  • Gun violence—2 million pageviews
  • Healthcare—1 million pageviews
