The Washington Post has named Kelley Benham French as its first narrative accountability editor, effective September 30.  

Benham French who previously served as senior editor for storytelling at The Dallas Morning News, will drive immersive reporting, rigorous investigative work and exceptional writing on stories that cover matters of urgent national interest and hold powerful forces to account. 

She also worked at USA Today for three years as senior editor for narrative and special projects.
