Time has unveiled an editorial platform focused on the 2024 Presidential Election: Time Votes.
Its mission is to provide “service-oriented stories that provide context for this election cycle as well as accessible, non-partisan resources for voters,” says Sam Jacobs, editor in chief of Time.
Time Votes starts with a list of 11 Democracy Defenders, Democrats and Republicans, who are working to boost voter registration and fight misinformation. They include Republicans and Democrats public officials, business leaders, civil rights crusaders and private individuals.
Also featured is a short documentary from Time Studios, titled “The Officials.” It follows election officials from four battlegrounds who are fighting organized efforts to undermine their work.

In addition, readers can avail themselves of a series of articles on how America’s electoral process works, including information on voting in each state, and they can access reporting from Time’s political journalists.
“Though the last three elections witnessed historically high turnout, polls still show widespread unease among Americans about the integrity of our election system,” Jacobs says. “Satisfaction with how democracy works in the United States is at an all-time low.”
