Law360 Workers Agree On A Contract With LexisNexis

The strike of unionized editorial workers at LexisNexis-owned Law360 appears to be over.

The two sides have negotiated a tentative five-year contract deal that lifts wages by an average 12%, according to NewsGuild of New York, which represents Law360 Union.

The agreement also increases family leave to 14 weeks, provides an average bonus of $9,000 and protects jobs from AI-related cuts.

A vote on the contract is scheduled for September 23. The strike began on September 11.

Contract negotiations between the union, which represents about 250 workers, and LexisNexis began on November 17, 2022. The union’s first contract expired on Dec. 31, 2022.

“What this tentative agreement represents is our unwavering belief in our value as workers,” says Hailey Konnath, a reporter for Law360 and unit chair for the union. “We refused to accept anything less than a contract that recognized our worth.”
