It may only be the end of October, but the onslaught of holiday advent calendars has already begun, along with a brand new addition from the QSR world.
Today Burger King announced the release of its own advent calendar, to celebrate the “most Whopper-ful time of the year.”
The new calendar contains 12 individual doors to open to count down to the holidays, surrounded by a whimsical winter village design, in a style similar to the Burger King app. Behind each door is a “thoughtfully curated gift,” inspired by past and present menu items and the 70-year history of the chain. The items behind the doors will be revealed to the public in mid-November, but the brand teased that they consist of “everything from cozy comfort to festive flair,” with a retail value of over $100.
“This year, we wanted to give our biggest fans a little something extra,” said Pat O’Toole, CMO, Burger King North America in a release. “The first-ever BK Advent Calendar is the perfect gift to give to yourself or others and help spread holiday cheer.”

The limited-edition Burger King Advent Calendar will be available for $19.54 (the year Burger King was founded) beginning Nov. 22, but those wishing to get a jump on holiday shopping can text ADVENT to 251-251 in order to be one of the first in the (virtual) line when the calendars go on sale online.
Additionally Burger King will launch 31 Days of Deals in December. The promotion features digital in-app exclusives for Burger King Royal Perks Members, such as free food, $0 delivery fees with a purchase, menu discounts and BK merchandise. The BK app will be transformed into the BK Village, an immersive experience “that helps bring the Advent Calendar to life digitally,” per the brand. On each of the 31 days, members can open their virtual “mailbox” in the app, which will unlock various activities around the village and reveal one of the 31 deals.
