'The Wall Street Journal' Bulks Up Its Washington, DC Bureau With New Hires

The Wall Street Journal has hired four veteran political reporters to work in its Washington, DC newsroom as the Trump administration prepares to take over. 

They are: 

  • Josh Dawsey, a two-time Pulitzer Prizer winner who began his career covering politics for the Journal, is returning after serving at the Washington Post and Politico, starting on Feb. 3. 
  • Meridith McGraw, a former national political correspondent for Politico, will cover the White House, starting on January 15. McGraw, who has covered the first Trump administration, was also a producer and reporter for ABC News. 
  • Olivia Beavers will cover Congress, starting on Jan. 15. Previously, she was a congressional reporter for Politico, and has also worked for The Hill. 
  • Gavin Bade will cover the trade beat. Previously, he was a trade and economics reporter at Politico, and has also served as a senior reporter and editor at Utility Dive.
