Newsweek has promoted Danielle Varvaro to the post of chief revenue officer.
This occurs less than a year after Varvaro’s arrival at Newsweek. She joined the staff as head of advertising sales in March 2024, and has since secured major brand partnerships while driving revenue growth.
Previously, Varvaro served at The Messenger, Group Nine Media, Vice Media and Microsoft Advertising.
"Danielle has been an invaluable leader at Newsweek, driving growth within our organization,” says Dev Pragad, CEO and owner of Newsweek, to whom Varvaro will report. “Her deep expertise in media and publishing, coupled with her strategic vision, has been instrumental in expanding our advertising capabilities and strengthening our position in the industry.”
