SmithEllisItems, the parent company of the Substack newsletters News Items, Political News Items and Bird News Items, has appointed David Rhodes of Sky News Group to its board of directors.  

Rhodes joined Sky in 2021 as group director of international business development, and has also served as president of CBS News, head of U.S. television at Bloomberg and vice president of News for Fox.
