'USA Today' Debuts Music Series To Benefit Emerging Artists

Gannett's USA Today has launched USA Today Acoustic, a music series that it says will connect rising artists with the USA Today Network, an audience that includes over 140 million unique monthly visitors.

The new offering “promises to be a captivating addition to our cultural offerings, fostering a deeper connection between our brand, our employees, and our communities,” says Monica Richardson, senior vice president at USA Today. “This program underscores our commitment to strengthening relationships and creating compelling coverage that resonates across a variety of mediums.”

The series launched with a live performance and sit-down interview with Laundry Day, a New York City-based band that is about to release its sixth studio album.

Each session includes a set of acoustically performed songs, an interview with USA Today or a USA Today Network publication and a photoshoot featuring the artist.
