Travis Quezon To Take Up His Old Job As EIC Of 'The International Examiner'

Travis Quezon is returning to the International Examiner, as editor in chief, effective Nov. 17.

He takes over from Vee Hua, who has led the Examiner since June, when Alexa Stabuk departed as editor in chief.

Quezon had served as board chairman of the Examiner’s Community Voice Awards, and he was editor in chief from 2013 to 2017,

In his most recent role, Quezon was marketing and communications manager at International Community Health Services.

The Examiner is a print and web publication serving the APAC region and the Pacific Northwest of the U.S.

“Travis has deep editorial experience across various journalistic platforms, including his time at the Examiner, where he guided the organization through a financial crisis,” says SuJ’n Chon, board president of the Examiner, in a statement. We’re thrilled to have him back now that we’re thriving, as he will connect our remarkable history with an exciting future.”

Quezon adds, “These are unprecedented times facing our communities. It’s really important that we tell our diverse stories through journalism and build solidarity and coalition around the complex immigrant experience.”
