
Melissa Erny has been appointed editor in
chief of the Plattsburgh (New York) Press-Republican.
Erny began her career at the Press-Republican as an intern while still a student at State University of New
York at Plattsburgh. She has also worked for newspapers in Nevada, Oregon, California and Colorado, the Press-Republican reports.
“The Press-Republican team is excited to have Melissa as our new editor-in-chief,” says Scott Bresett, general manager, in a statement. “She has a passion for the
newspaper industry and brings a wealth of knowledge for both the print and digital sides of the business.”
The Press-Republican is owned by CNHI, based in Montgomery,
Alabama.
