Brew A Difference: Tim Hortons To Donate 100% Of Coffee Sales On Camp Day

Summer is here, and Tim Hortons is back with its yearly charity day that supports underserved youth with opportunities to learn, grow and build confidence—through camping.

The coffee chain’s annual Tim Hortons Camp Day this year takes place on July 15, where 100% of all hot and iced coffee sales goes toward Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

A :30 social video, seen here, promotes this year’s Camp Day, featuring a young girl who has benefited from the chain’s charity arm by attending summer camp. “Thanks for sending me to Tim’s camp,” she says, against film of her enjoying hiking, climbing and participating in various outdoor activities. “A camp that pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me feel grounded,” she continues, “a camp that made me feel brave, and gave me the confidence I have today.”

“Camp Day is one of the most meaningful days on the calendar for all of us at Tim Hortons, as a special day when our brand, our restaurant owners, and our guests come together to do something truly good,” said Katerina Glyptis, president of Tim Hortons U.S., in a release.

This year the chain is also offering a Campfire Donut for $2 that offers similar support, with 100% of the purchase price going to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. The new donut consists of a chocolate cake donut ring topped with mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips and graham cracker crumbs.

Customers can also purchase a limited edition Camp Day bracelet for $3, with 100% of profits also going to the charity.

The chain launched the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps in 1974 with the goal of “helping young people from underserved communities gain the skills and confidence to rewrite their stories for a brighter future.” The charity has provided support to over 350,000 youths over the past 50 years.
