Charles "Chuck" Davis is a co-founder and chief technology officer of Seattle-based startup, Element Data. In his lifelong engineering and research work focused on building a framework for classifying and predicting human emotion and behavioral response, Davis, an African-American, has been dedicated to incorporating data sets representing a wide variety of populations into the data models and technologies he develops. A passionate advocate for ensuring ethics and data diversity in the technologies he builds, Davis, along with the team at Element Data, not only have built an external-facing Artificial Intelligence technology that precludes racial bias, but demands an internal company culture of inclusion and anti-discrimination that is written into their founder's commitment.
