Theresa Agnew is the Area General Manager for Australia and New Zealand for GSK Consumer Healthcare. In this position, she is responsible for the commercial operations for these markets. Theresa was appointed in February 2018. Theresa, who joined GSK Consumer Healthcare in 2014 as the US Chief Marketing Officer, has 29 years of experience in consumer healthcare. She began her career as a sales representative with Johnson & Johnson, McNeil Consumer Healthcare. During her 21 years at J&J, she progressed through increasingly more senior roles in McNeil and Lifescan within Sales and Marketing. In addition to numerous Marketing roles at J&J in the US market, Theresa was also the Director of the J&J Lifescan business in Asia Pacific and Latin America, bringing those areas to record growth. She was also the Global Head of Marketing for the Lifescan business and the Vice President of US Marketing for McNeil Consumer Healthcare. After J&J, Theresa joined DDB Advertising Agency as the Head of Strategy for numerous healthcare brands. She then became the Senior Vice President of US Marketing at Essilor International, which is the number one producer of eyeglass lenses globally. Since joining GSK, Theresa has been integral in driving the United States business to achieve industry leading growth. As the Chief Marketing Officer for the US market, she oversaw the brand and porfolio strategy for GSK Consumer Healthcare; leveraging traditional trade channels as well as new media and technology. She has been an architect of the digital transformation in the US and delivered one of the best-in-class Rx-to-OTC switches with Flonase. Theresa has been named the #1 Health Influencer of the 2017 Top 50 Health Influencers by Medical Marketing and Media and PR Week.
