Barton is passionate about building brands and helping people grow. He leverages his international experience in strategy, marketing, and general management to be a valued thought partner for individuals and leadership teams that want to grow. This holistic framework integrates the latest research on how people thrive and operate in complex, commercial environments. Balancing conceptual knowledge and applied learning, he facilitates thoughtful, engaging, and energizing coaching experiences that fuel measurable growth. For the last 30 years, Barton has coached leaders and built brands in many of the world’s most respected companies including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Boots and Bayer. He held senior C-Suite roles in brand management, innovation and strategy, most recently leading Strategy, Innovation and Portfolio Management at Bayer Consumer Health. Barton is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He attended the Graduate Institute in Geneva Switzerland. He holds an MBA from Columbia University. He has also completed the Columbia University External Coach Intensive Program (3CP). He is a certified practitioner of Hogan and NBI assessments. Barton serves on the Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin School of Business Center for Brand and Product Management and is a Mentor for StartOut, a LGBT startup accelerator. He is past President of the Red Oaks School Board of Trustees. He plays tennis, volunteers, and enjoys long walks in New York City.
