Many Streaming Viewers Watch Only One Program

Media companies are writing down the value of their linear television networks, and some are even earning a profit from their streaming services. Amid these shifts, many viewers are fickle about their commitment to a video streaming service because of a dearth of programming.

Almost three quarters (71%) of people who watched Paramount+ only viewed one program during the first half of this year, leaving the remainder to show greater commitment to its content, according to a study by Samba TV. At the other end of the spectrum, only 30% of people who watched Netflix viewed one program.
