Back-to-school shopping is in full swing as summer vacations wind down, giving marketers a final chance to get the attention of parents and their kids. Podcast advertising is an effective way to sway purchase decisions of these shoppers, according to a report by audio platform Veritonic.

Its research found that 58% of consumers would like to hear podcast ads for back-to-school shopping. That interest is a precursor to holiday shopping, with 75% of consumers saying they want to hear podcast ads as they start gift buying, the research indicates.
