Invalid Ad Traffic Rises Sharply For Connected Television

The amount of invalid advertising traffic – or any activity that doesn’t come from a real person or a user with a genuine interest in an ad – rose sharply on connected television during the second quarter of the year.

A report from ad-verification company Pixalate found that the invalid traffic rate on CTV rose from 12.4% in the first quarter of the year to 19.4% in the subsequent quarter. The report doesn’t explain the reason for the sharp rise.
