Harris Reaches Wider TV Audience Than Trump Does

}
Vice President Kamala Harris didn’t officially start her presidential campaign until the end of July, after President Joe Biden dropped out of the race.  Despite the later start, Harris’s campaign served more 40% more television ad impressions by the end of August than former President Donald Trump did for all of 2024, according to measurement firm Samba TV.

The firm counted 697 million linear and over-the-top ad impressions for Harris, compared with 497 million for Trump. Harris reached 44.4 million households by the end of August, compared with only 34.8 million for Trump.

Despite this ad blitz, there are blind spots.

“Both candidates are struggling to reach diverse audiences, with a relatively low proportion of Hispanic and Asian households seeing ads,” according to Samba.
