Another sign of how technology has changed the way people of different ages spend time with media is seen in how they’re most likely to get news about politics and elections, according to a report from the nonprofit Pew Research Center.

“Different age groups turn to these platforms at drastically different rates,” the report said. “Almost half of U.S. adults under 30 (46%) most commonly use social media for political news. This is twice the share of 30- to 49-year-olds who say the same (23%).”
