Most consumers (95%) said they’re comfortable with at least some level of data collection by financial institutions, though there are differences in the kind of data they think are most appropriate to gather, a study
by advertising agency Dentsu found.
Lower-value information such as home address, email and phone number are considered appropriate for financial companies to collect by 62% of people surveyed. They’re also comfortable sharing basic personal information such as name and location (59%) and credit scores (48%).
