Creators, Influencers Help To Drive Holiday Shopping

Social influencers and creators have replaced magazine editors as the tastemakers for almost every product. That effect is seen during the holiday season when consumers not only buy gifts, but also decorate their homes and host social gatherings.

About three quarters (77%) of consumers said online content creators will influence their holiday plans, while two-thirds said they’ll make purchases based on the recommendations of content creators, according to a report by Raptive, a media company that works with online creators.
