U.S. consumers among all age groups find limited-time offers and product recommendations to be the most helpful types of advertising content, according to a survey by advertising agency Dentsu. The findings highlight a shared preference for ads that offer immediate value and personalized suggestions, regardless of generational differences.
In addition to discounts and recommendations, ads that inform shoppers about product availability and restocking are also well received. However, the survey indicates a key distinction among younger consumers: Gen Z prioritizes updates on trending items over restock notifications. This preference aligns with their tendency to follow fast-moving digital trends and to seek out popular, in-demand products.
