Pets have officially become part of the American family, and a powerful force shaping how people live, spend and connect, according to
new research from Dentsu’s Consumer Navigator Series.
The nationwide study of 1,000 U.S. respondents found that three in four Americans either have a pet or plan to get one, making pet ownership a default feature of modern life rather than a niche choice. Dentsu describes this as the rise of the “four-legged economy,” with animals now influencing major lifestyle decisions from where people live and work to the vacations they take and the products they buy.
