Teens flock to TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat for what platforms like to call “connection” and what everyone else recognizes as endless scrolling. Roughly nine in 10 teens say they use these social apps for entertainment, with TikTok leading the charge, according to a new
studyby the non-partisan Pew Research Center.
Teens also use these platforms to keep up with friends and family, which is adorable, given that most of that interaction involves sending disappearing photos of ceilings. Snapchat, in particular, dominates here, with about two-thirds of users saying it helps them stay in touch.
