NFL Draft Will Be Three-Day Ad Inventory Festival With Shoulder Pads

The NFL Draft returns April 23-25, and what was once a procedural talent-selection meeting has fully evolved into a prime-time content carnival where millions gather to watch executives mispronounce college names, hug family members and declare that every pick is “a perfect fit.”

New data from CivicScience show 39% of U.S. adults plan to watch at least some of this year’s draft, confirming that America remains deeply committed to consuming football even when no football is being played. That figure is only modestly above pre-pandemic levels, but engagement with the first two days has climbed sharply. Some 27% now say they expect to watch at least the opening rounds, up from 18% in 2019.
