The AI industry has a new participation trophy. It's called "everybody else."
A new report from OneLittleWeb found that AI tools attracted a staggering 144.5 billion web visits over the past year. That's up 80.9% from the prior year. Sounds like everybody's winning, right? Well, not exactly.
The real story is that the AI market is starting to look suspiciously like streaming video. Everybody's launching a service. Everybody's making announcements. And then everybody checks the numbers and discovers there's one platform with Netflix scale while everyone else is explaining why third place is actually a strategic victory.
