Sunday Talk Shows Lack Diversity Of Guests

WWC’s “The Status of Women In The U.S. Media 2021” uncovers in their nearly 300-page report that men accounted for two-thirds and white people for almost three-quarters of more than 1,600 appearances by guest analysts and commentators on the top five talk shows.

According to the U.S. Census data, women are 51%, persons of color 40%, and women of color 20% of the U.S. population.  Guest appearances by women and people of color still have a ways to go when it comes to guest appearances reflecting the U.S. population.
