Internet-connected television has transformed the distribution of video, offering viewers hundreds of channels with thousands of shows, movies and events. Free ad-supported television, or FAST, platforms not only have on-demand programming, but they’re more notable for showing linear programming among dozens of channels.
These channels disperse viewership, according to a report by media-measurement company Nielsen that includes metrics for FAST platforms such as Pluto TV, The Roku Channel and Tubi.
