More Consumers Plan Summer Travel Amid Spending Worries

The percentage of U.S. consumers who have summer travel plans has nearly doubled from 41% in 2022 to 81% this year, a survey by advertising agency Dentsu found. Amid this growth, many consumers expressed concerns about travel costs amid their other spending priorities.

“Our survey finds that most summer travelers plan to cut back on other areas of spending, such as dining out, luxury items and fast food, to increase their funds for travel,” according to the report. “Most consumers are still incredibly cost-conscious travelers.”
