Most Americans Support Major LGBTQ Causes

Pride month has emerged as an occasion for major corporations and brands to express their support for the LGBTQ community, after years being marginalized. Such support is likely to be viewed positively by U.S. consumers, most of whom said they support a variety of causes that directly affect LGBTQ people, as a study by MRI-Simmons indicates.

It found that about two out of three Americans support the LGBTQ community, with support higher among younger adults. In addition, two thirds of Americans personally know someone who is LGBTQ, and the portion is higher for women and Hispanic Americans.
