Local TV News Is Viewed As Important, Trustworthy

Elections are typically occasions when likely voters seek out news and information that’s most meaningful in making decisions about political candidates and issues. Local television tends to be the most trusted source for news among U.S. adults, a survey from the Television Bureau of Advertising (TVB) indicates.

Almost all (96%) people surveyed said it’s important to receive local news, weather and sports information on their local TV station, the survey results show.
