Social media have triggered a major mental-health crisis in the United States, as acknowledged by lawmakers that seek to curtail its destructive power on younger consumers.Amid this recognition, Americans see a role for their employers and brands to improve people’s well-being.
“Brands can step up and create tools and resources that truly support mental health,” according to a report by advertising agency Dentsu. “Products and services that enhance the well-being of people and the planet shouldn’t be a luxury. Ensure these options are both affordable and available to a broad audience. Consumers want to make better choices without breaking the bank.”
