• UM Sued For Its Handling Of U.S. Army Account
    Urban One, the African-American-focused media company has filed suit against Interpublic Group’s media agency UM, charging that the latter misled and defrauded the plaintiff through ad buys made on behalf of the U.S. Army as part of a minority recruitment push. The suit is the latest in a series of dramatic turns that the U.S. Army agency review has taken over the last two-plus years. Incumbent McCann was recently eliminated and has officially protested. A similar protest by the agency after being eliminated last year kept the agency in the contest until now. The latest protest remains pending.

    It's been quite a long and winding road for the years-long U.S. Army agency review and incumbent McCann has been eliminated for the second time during the process. Also for the second time the agency has filed a formal complaint protesting its elimination. Last year after being eliminated it protested and won reinstatement. Adweek.com has the latest details. 
  • Mondelez Completes Global Media Review
    Mondelez has completed a global media review that started earlier this year, reports Adweek.  GroupM, already having a good week with word today that it won the consolidated Mars global media review, has been added to the company’s roster and its agencies will handle large portions of Europe. North America duties were awarded earlier to Spark Foundry and VaynerMedia.
