PBS is set to air its remake of "The Electric Company" daily starting Sept. 7, reports
Variety. The net has aired 16 of the 35 "Electric" episodes it shot in 2008. The remaining 19 will be
added to them as a daily strip in the fall. While the revamped "Electric" borrows elements from the 1970s original, starring Rita Moreno and Morgan Freeman, it also owes its emphasis on music and
dance to new influences, such as "Def Poetry Jam."
