Company Giving $3,000 For Pilot TV Pitches

  • June 12, 2003
Pilot Project has announced that the first stop in its Live Pitch! City Tour will be held June 20-21 in Seattle. Competitors in the Pilot Pitch competition will be given the opportunity to submit their own ideas for a television show. The winner will be given the opportunity to produce a pilot and win a $3,000 prize. Future stops include Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas and New York. At each stop, people pitch their ideas in person to a panel of judges. There will be an eight- to 12-episode reality TV series about the Pilot Project competition that comes out of it. "We are excited at the prospect of letting people pitch their ideas in person and believe Seattle is the perfect city to launch what is certain to be the next phenomenon in reality television," said Effects Productions president Ruben Navarrete. "The interest level from the media and the public has been strong and we hope to build on that momentum as the tour and competition progresses."
