Appliance-visionary and manufacturer Dyson has hired David Kroll as VP marketing for the U.S. He was most recently VP and general manager of the Asian Pacific business in Sydney, Australia. He departs the company following its buyout by Unilever.

Kroll has also been at Wm Wrigley Jr. Company and Procter & Gamble, where he held a range of U.S. and Asia-Pacific commercial leadership positions.

Dyson this year launched a new ad campaign. The effort continues this summer with a Dyson technology exhibit at festivals and events.

The company sells in 50 markets around the world, the biggest of which is the U.S., where its operation is adding 100 positions after having added 35 this year so far. Among other things, Kroll will be in charge of filling seven new positions.
