Cablevision Systems Corp. disclosed Thursday its plans for carrying the YES Network, which includes asking customers whether they want to receive it. Cablevision said the deal ensures that those who
choose to receive sports services bear the cost, and that those who do not are not forced to pay. The deal includes Cablevision’s agreement to offer a regional sports tier, allowing customers to elect
receive YES, MSG and Fox Sports Net New York for $4.95 monthly or $1.95/month each channel. Cablevision said customers who don’t want YES won’t have to pay for it. The new deal will be available to
its customers before March 31.
