Mediaocean Names Ex-Googler To Run HR

Media transaction processing giant Mediaocean has poached a senior Google executive to run its HR operation. Marcella Butler, most recently senior director, corporate development, M&A operations at Google, has been named chief human resources officer and senior vice president of people at Mediaocean, the new company formed earlier this year from the merger of competitors Donovan Data Services and MediaBank.
Within Google, Butler’s roles included HR director to the global product management organization; finance director to the display advertising sales organization; and director of M&A integration. Earlier, she served in senior management posts at Pershing Square Capital and Sanford C. Bernstein.
