Discovery Taps JWT-er For Top Media Planning Post

Chris Schembri has been named vice president, media, Discovery Networks/U.S. from senior partner and communications director at J. Walter Thompson. Schembri will oversee media planning and strategy efforts across Discovery's 13 U.S. networks, including media positioning and cross-network promotion. He is also charged with the creation and execution of media partnerships and management of the Discovery Networks media planning teams and an external media agency. During his eight years at JWT in Detroit, Schembri worked with such clients as Ford Motor Company, Shell Oil and Domino's Pizza.
