Demandbase Connects Marketing, Sales Teams With Salesforce App; Receives Funding From Salesforce

Demandbase, a retargeting platform for B2B marketers, on Monday announced it has received investment from Salesforce Ventures, Salesforce’s corporate investment group. Demandbase has also released a new app on the Salesforce AppExchange.

Demandbase declined to disclose how much funding it received.

The new app, dubbed Demandbase Sales Accelerator, will make Demandbase’s data available via Salesforce. A company representative told Real-Time Daily that Demandbase clients could always see Salesforce data via Demandbase, but not the other way around.

Customers can now see their Demandbase data in Saleforce -- which means sales reps can see the marketing data that’s relevant to their ability to sell,” the rep explained. “Demandbase’s Sales Accelerator specifically lets sales reps see how engaged their key accounts are (based on website and advertising data).”

Chris Golec, CEO of Demandbase, said in an earlier statement that “the next logical step” regarding the company’s ad platform was to “[give] the sales team access to that data in real-time on the platform they use most -- Salesforce.”
