Lindsey Harris Named Creative Director At MJD

San Diego-based digital shop MJD has appointed Lindsey Harris Creative Director, a new position at the expanding agency.

Harris will oversee all creative product produced by the shop.

The agency’s creative was previously overseen solely by co-founder and CEO Jeremy Duimstra, to whom Harris will report. Duimstra will increasingly split his time between San Diego and Boulder, Colo., where the agency opened a new office earlier this year.

Harris is a well-regarded digital and web design veteran, having developed and designed some of iPhone’s earliest applications, including her creation of two of the iPhone’s best-known apps: Trivia Wars and Yoga Stretch. The latter was an iTunes Top Ten paid application.

For the past year, Harris has been the multi-disciplinary design director of Harvest House, a creative boutique specializing in branding experience, digital and application design, and strategy. Before that she worked as an art director for Mth Degree in San Diego.

Harris and MJD became familiar with each other on a project for a mutual client, Benefunder, a San Diego startup that works with wealth management firms to connect donors with leading researchers across the nation. Harris designed the company’s new website which MJD then created.

“We’ve worked with many talented people over the past few years, but Lindsey just leapt out as someone truly gifted,” said MJD’s Duimstra. “She has a relentless stream of great ideas, and is highly collaborative and diplomatic through the work process. MJD is exceptionally busy and we need significant talent to continue delivering work at the highest level. Lindsey has that special talent.”
