The Weather Channel Thursday announced a deal with outdoor apparel marketer L.L. Bean that will integrate the retailer's brand into the channel's extreme weather forecasts and news coverage. Among
other things, the network's Severe Weather Team, which is assigned to cover some of the nation's worst and most extreme weather situations, will wear L.L. Bean outerwear while in the field. The
partnership will also feature a multi-platform, integrated deal, which includes co-branded promotional spots and advertisements to air on The Weather Channel Network, ads on the Network's popular Web
site weather.com and natural product integration that is seamless in presentation. -- Joe Mandese
