Rebranded As Archer, Memphis Agency Charts Future

Memphis-agency Archer Malmo has rebranded as Archer.

The agency is now at an “inflection point,” according to CEO Russ Williams. While building on its 70-year history, the agency is charting its future course.

“This transition signifies handing over the reins to several new senior leadership positions, while also investing in and championing our young and mid-level talent. We’re now poised to bring on new talent and new clients that will make this next chapter of our story more impactful,” Williams told Agency Daily.

Archer's rebranding is the result of several initiatives in the works for a few years. Last summer, the partners completed the sale of the company to the employees through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Plus, two of the partners retired at the end of 2022, allowing new leadership to chart the future.

Senior management now includes Meredith Cuevas, promoted to Chief Growth Officer; Laura Hedges promoted to VP, Outdoor; Shannon Robichaud came onboard in January as SVP, business development; and Erin Wondra joined in May as VP, agriculture, leading one of Archer’s cornerstone verticals.

Recently, Archer won its last two competitive AOR pitches and added two more AOR clients without pitching. These new business wins add to the agency’s client roster, which includes Palm Beach Tan, Wind Creek Hospitality, Virbac, Memphis Tourism, AMVAC and Capital Farm Credit.

The agency was founded in 1952 as Ward Archer & Associates before morphing into Archer Malmo in 1991.
